Taxis from Beijing airport to Beijing’s city center are inexpensive and a good way to your hotel in Beijing.
You can find Beijing airport taxis by following the large signs on the ground and overhead in the Beijing airport. These will lead you to the ground level, where you can wait for a metered taxi.
Taxis from Beijing airport range in cost depending on where in Beijing you are going.
If your final destination in Beijing is in the east, a taxi can cost as little as 50 CNY.
If your destination is in western Beijing, a taxi can cost up to 150 CNY.
Remember that in addition to the price on the Beijing taxi meter, you will have to pay 10 CNY for the taxi’s airport “parking.”
The driver should have a receipt to show you for this.
If you are traveling to Beijing by yourself, a less expensive option than taxis from Beijing airport to Beijing is the Beijing Airport Express or a bus.

Taking the metro from Beijing airport to the Beijing city center a great way to travel from PEK to Beijing. The metro is fast, user-friendly (everything is written in English as well as Mandarin), and helpful in avoiding the Beijing city traffic.
Completed as a continuation of the 2008 Beijing Olympics metro building project, the Beijing Airport Express train takes passengers from Terminals 1, 2, and 3 of the Beijing Airport to two destinations in Eastern Beijing: Sanyuanqiao and Dongzhimen.
From these stations you can transfer to metro lines 10 and 2, respectively, to continue your journey.
Alternately, you can transfer to a taxi to get to your final destination in Beijing.
The metro from the Beijing Airport to the Beijing City Center costs 25 CNY each way. If you then transfer to the metro, you must exit the Airport Express turnstiles and pay 2 CNY for a metro ticket to continue your journey.
NB: If there are two or more people in your group, it might be less expensive to take a taxi from Beijing airport to the Beijing city center. This is especially true if you are staying in eastern Beijing.
